I was looking through old photos this weekend and spotted this gem. It might not look like much, but I have a lot of memories from this little corner of our laundry room. Like any great play space, this area was fuelled by imagination. I spent many an hour pretending that this was my house and I carried out all of the familiar household duties that little girls dream of doing. Why laundry seemed like a glamourous task when I was 5, I don’t know. But I remember that my mom let me make it my own and she let me use her things. See that sweet patent leather bag? There isn’t a single traditional toy to be found.
My “Playroom”
Finding this photo prompted me to think about how I could carve out a similar space for my children. Space is already at a premium in our home. With a little spring cleaning and organization we have come up with a solution. Check out my Pinterest Board for the details.
I’ll be posting my progress as we move along. If you have any ideas or suggestions, I would love to hear them!
